Technical Superintendent

Job description / Role

Client is a Middle Eastern based Marine and Offshore Services provider, owning a fleet of around 50 multi-purpose vessels and barges. They are an established vendor with the major Oil companies around the Middle East.

The candidates main responsibility is to ensure that vessels meet the standards and criteria required by Clients, Class and Statutory regulations. Both onshore and offshore duties will be involved, providing technical expertise towards the companys fleet, supporting Engineers, assisting with dry-dock planning, installation and upgrades of vessel equipment.

We are looking for somebody with a strong background in maintenance activities on Jack-up Barges, Supply Vessels, Crew Boats, AHTS, PSV and other units. Should the selected candidate be senior enough, there could be consideration as a Technical Manager, managing an existing team of 3 Superintendents.

Requirements

- 12 - 15 years experience in the Marine/Offshore Industry engaged in technical and maintenance activities for offshore fleets
- Chief Engineer 1st Class certificate required, 2nd Engineer can also be considered
- Exposure to the Middle East Oil & Gas Industry
- Willingness to travel across the GCC at frequent intervals and short notice
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multi-national workforce
