Technical Support Engineer - Kuwait

The Role:
As a Technical Support Engineer you will be responsible for providing first line support to our retail stores or warehouse function by configuring and setting up firewalls, VPNs and other security appliances for access to vital business applications. You will also be responsible for configuring and installing client and server software for new installations as well as upgrading and maintaining networks.

You will also:
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the network technologies and future trends
* Assist in the design of multi-server environments including IP address schemes, DNS, WINS, etc.​
* Manage assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
* Respond to enquiries from staff, administrators, service providers, site personnel and outside vendors and etc.​ to provide technical assistance and support
* Manage assigned issues and projects using a ticket based tracking system
* Respond to desktop and printer issues and questions for remote locations within defined geographic region
* Manage and configure Vmware environment.

Requirements

* 2-3 years' of related work experience in a field support role
* Bachelor's Degree in electronics/​communications or computer science/​network security or equivalent discipline
* Good working knowledge and ability to configure troubleshoot and maintain servers, preferably in Windows Server 2003 and 2008
* Desktop hardware and software experience, to include: laptops, printers, Windows 7, MS Office, etc.​
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems for users onsite and remotely
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to multi-task
* Availability in response to needs of the customer for installation, maintenance and equipment malfunctions
* Willing to work on shift bases
* CCNA required (CCNP preferred)
