Overview

Our client are an internationally recognized electrical manufacturing company who currently have an immediate requirement for a Riyadh based Technical Support Manager with experience in electronic sales. (Structured cabling)

The Role

To be responsible for Technical Support to Customers, Channel Partners, Sales Managers and System Integrators in pre and post sales for designated BU and its products.

Review customer inquiries received by the sales managers and ensure all documents, drawings and specifications are accurate in order to generate proposals. Provide support in delivering bill of materials to customers as required.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge the product line applicable to the job scope by attending product development launches and conducting market research in order to ensure my client maintains a competitive edge in the region.

Responsible for Pre Sales Support, achieving approvals and incorporating product specifications prior to tenders & enquiries from developers and consultants. Coordinate with customers to ensure specifications are accurate in order to prepare bill of quantity proposals.

Maintain familiarity with projects, solution proposals for customized needs, support in site surveys, recommend specifications to consultants/sales managers/end users. Responsible for design, architecture, technical compliance and pre-bid customer discussions, product selection and drawings support for customer proposals.

Participate and coordinate marketing activities.

Communicate frequently with Line manager/ MD and International Business Development Director

Assist to develop local vendor base for cost out projects, source new products to complete product basket and maintain relationships between suppliers, our distribution chain, and customers, when required. Provide new product ideas, new applications based on direct market feedback and secondary sources for product managers.

Conduct training for channel partners, system integrators, consultants, developers, etc for the purposes of educating and influencing their purchasing decisions of these products.

Requirements

•Responsible for product submittal and attaining project approvals
•University degree in Electronics/ Electrical/ Communications Engineering or equivalent BICSI RCDD preferred
•Minimum 5 years experience in similar role within industry
•Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential in English and Arabic.
•Aggressive, energetic, and and quick learner
•Good presentation skills
•Strong knowledge in Structured Cabling Solutions.
•Knowledge of competitors in local market is an asset
•Intermediate knowledge of Autocad, MS Office
•Strong reporting and research skills
•30% travel
