Job description / Role
This is a critical position, responsible for ensuring all Technical Training is delivered in accordance with the Technical Training Quality System. This is a far reaching role which will include management of accredited training delivery for Gas Compliance, High Voltage(to 33kv), EHV(to 400kv), Site Passport, Mechanical & Electrical Systems and Procedures, Project Management (role specific) , and On-Job-Training. This encompasses both Projects and Depots globally.
Responsibilities
•Provide high quality leadership to the Delivery Team comprising Principle Instructors, Senior Instructors, Area Instructors and Site Trainers spanning all Areas; Projects and Depots.
•Manage standardised training delivery in accordance with the new Training Quality System
•Manage liability through continuous risk assessment & mitigation for all live training (i.e. live equipment, live operational sites)
•Develop internal Instructional capability and expertise to produce a top performing global team
•Develop highly effective internal and external professional relationships to ensure accurate and timely response to the business needs
•Manage Principle Instructors, covering their technical and managerial development including performance reviews.
•Ensure Principle Instructors manage their Senior Technical Instructors, Area Technical Instructors & Site Trainers effectively, efficiently and in full compliance with National & Country Regulations and Standards
•Joint Manager of Technical Training Quality System
•Manage global projects related to Technical Training as directed by HTT
•Create and Manage communication Plan to all Areas ensuring timely information is effectively disseminated
•Responsible for careful and considered budget spending on related training activities
•Develop highly effective internal and external professional Displays
Requirements
Person Specifications
•Masters Level Engineering Degree or equivalent vocational experience (10 years in related roles)
15 years experience in a technical field directly related to Power Generation
•Accredited Instructor with proven track record in training delivery
•Proven track record in building effective teams
•Auditor or equivalent vocational experience working within a Quality System and/or External Standards
•HV certified
•Ideally Commercial Gas certified
