We now have an opportunity for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team, based in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent technical authoring, writing and editing expertise.
- Research, create, write and edit technical documentation, for internal and external use in accordance with Kentz style and branding guidelines.
- Convert complex information into a format that is easy for readers to understand and execute upon. (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), protocols, reports, policy set, standards, manuals, procedures, Project Coordination Plans (PCP), Project Execution Plans (PEP), Reports, Quality (ISO) Policies and Procedures, Corporate Policies and Procedures, Design Basis Memorandums (DBM), Proposals, Project Design Criteria, Project Specifications, etc.)
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts across multiple departments, to understand the scope and content of work assignments in order to prepare written interpretations of engineering and design specifications, and to ensure quality and technical accuracy of documentation.
- Participate or run review meetings with subject matter experts.
- Collaborate with Engineers, Designers and other teams within the telecoms department to determine documentation requirements and develop effective communication solutions.
- Spearhead initiative for ensuring accuracy, consistent quality and standardization of all document types, using appropriate branding for all released work.
- Use the Document Management processes and standards appropriately for all projects.
- Adhere to document version control management standards during document development.
- Support development and project documentation as part of the change and release management processes.
- Utilize your technical expertise and strong writing skills for both technical and business audiences.
- Ensure records, files, drawings, procedures, documentation comply with applicable regulatory requirements

Requirements

Degree or diploma in English.
5+ years as a Technical Writer or equivalent within the Oil and Gas, Engineering or Construction industry
Familiarity with and understanding of:
Communication with business and technical audiences
Organizing large amounts of information into easy-to-use documentation and in document management techniques
Working in a practical technical writing role and the use of authoring tools
Critical reporting - assess, critique, define, present
Creating readable technical documentation
Change Control
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and should be comfortable working in a busy team environment
Strong proficiency in formatting documents using such features as Word styles, templates, automated cross-referencing and layout control
Basic understanding of MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and document management systems
Experience with MS SharePoint preferred
Ability to handle multiple assignments with competing priorities
Time management skills
