FAMCO is an ISO 9001:2008 & ISO 14001:2004 certified company.We are looking for an experienced Service Technician with a minimum of 5 years hands on knowledge of Heavy earthmoving equipments (preferably Volvo Construction equipments) to join the Volvo Construction Equipment Division of Famco. The key accountabilities of this role will include:* Mechanical & Electrical repairs on a variety of Volvo Construction and other Heavy equipment types.* Troubleshoot and diagnose all types of Volvo construction and other equipment. * Diagnose faults and recommend effective solutions. Doing it right the first time with least downtime & costs.* Produce consistently high quality of work to ensure excellent levels of customer satisfaction. * Have an excellent mechanical aptitude and work with the highest standards of safety (towards self and colleagues and customer site personnel and equipment); quality (using tools and adopting best practices as mentioned in service manuals) and environmental care (proper disposal of used oils / filters - spillage control etc.,). * Read and analyse mechanical drawings & electrical schematics. Read, understand and implement instructions in service manuals. Use Service checklist where applicable and available.* While attending jobs both in the workshop and the field also proactively identify potential problem causing areas and inform customer & foreman / advisor with proper filling up of field service reports / data collection / measuring and monitoring- proper evidence gathering like oil sampling etc., |
RequirementsRequirementsThe selected candidate will have the following skillls and experience; * A Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge related to Automotive / Mechancial Engineering.* Basic / Technical Education and or Apprenticeship with an Automotive environment. * 6-7 years of solid hands on experience both field and workshop on Volvo Construction and other heavy equipment types - GCC dealer experience preferable but not essential.* A UAE driving License - with a preference to a heavy viechle liscence.* Must show proven technical expertise in independently servicing, repairs and component overhauls on Construction Equipment, Volvo & other types.* Good English language skills. * Be familiar with appropriate workshop equipment and tools & capable of working with them. Working with diagnostics tools preferred.* Have the ability to read and analyse drawings & schematics ref service manuals and understand mechanical installation related information. |
