Employment: Full Time

A leading governmental organization based in Abu Dhabi is looking to recruit experienced facilities technician to join their dynamic team of professionals. The desired candidates must have experience with mechanical systems maintenance.

The facilities technician will be responsible for performing all minor or major mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic inspection, repairs and maintenance of a wide variety of various systems related to facilities. The role will also be responsible for performing work as per assignments provided through the work order and/or verbal communication. The role should perform quality work as part of the ISO 9001 program.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for performing diagnoses of mechanical, civil, some electrical systems and conduct repairs and installation of wide variety of various equipment such as compressors, HVAC systems, cranes, water pumps and variety of facilities systems.
- Assist in performing all required periodic Mechanic servicing and respond to emergency calls such as cranes, building structures, HVAC and MEP systems.
- Assist in creating Job Plans and preparing hand sketches for various mechanical works using chars, technical, manuals, past experience and OEM technical manuals.
- Assist in identifying required spares for mechanical works, repair and installation through Purchase Requests. Special attention must be given to required minimum stock.
- Ensure that all equipment, tools, instruments and high value property assigned to him are maintained in a serviceable condition, routinely inventoried and constantly safeguarded.
- Adhere to safety practices, housekeeping standards and environmental controls at all time to the highest standard level.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Senior Supervisor, Facilities Maintenance.

Requirements

- 3 years Diploma/ Technical Training in Mechanic, Civil Technology with some electrical knowledge or similar field is required.
- 4-5 years of work experience in Mechanical Systems Maintenance is required.
- Proficiency in performing Mechanical work, troubleshooting and conducting repairs as necessary using standard materials and tools is required.
- Ability to read, write and speak good English is preferred.
- Previous Military experience in advantageous.
