This company will cater to the regional requirements of Nato Forces and their Prime Contractors for supply of heavy equipment ,vehicles and their maintenance services. Select will be the single point of contact for customers of this profile and will operate as an internal customer for the other automotive group companiesWe are currently looking to recruit a number of Technicians - Heavy Equipment, to join our Select Auto business in Afghanistan. The Technicians will be responsible for carrying out all maintenance and repairs, diagnosing and rectifying faults on the products listed below and resolving customer complaints adhering to prescribed product and service standards.The essential functions of this role include:* Diagnosis and fault analysis of all the products for faults and arrives at the root cause of problem while allowing for the accurate preparation of cost quotations* Repairs: Ensures necessary repairs are carried out as per standard specifications ensuring the minimum down time and resolution of defects resulting in customer satisfaction* Routine and preventive maintenance as per manufacturers' guidelinesThe key responsibilities of this role include:* Carries out the necessary services, maintenance and repairs on site and in workshop, using standard tools and instruments and within the prescribed time frame, to ensure the total customer satisfaction* Assesses the cause of the failure of parts and submits appropriate reports that enable decisions on reusability and replacement of parts* Makes cost effective use of material and manpower in order to maintain productivity and efficiency standards* Ensures that the customers are aware of preventive maintenance in order to enable least downtime of the equipment and continuity of operations* Prepares necessary reports and orders regarding repair, warranty, parts, defects etc., to enable Workshop Foreman and Workshop Manager to take corrective action* Ensures the workshop is kept clean and confirms to the laid down safety standards for material and equipment |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be considered for this role you will need to possess:* Apprentice* Minimum of 8 years experience working in a similar role* You must have knowledge of the basic principles of the vehicles main components such as engine, transmission, brakes, chassis (including wheel base, axle configuration etc) and electrical system* Good English communication skills |
