We are looking for Technician to ensures necessary repairs are carried out as per the standard specification ensuring minimum downtime and resolution defects resulting in customer satisfaction. The technician will analyse all repairs and maintenance of all winches and hoists. Your primary responsibilities will include; * To checks and diagnose the equipment in order to determine the cause of malfunctioning. * Carry out diagnosis, checks and inspection of all required equipment. * Assesses the cause of failure of parts and submits appropriate reports that enable decisions to be made on repairing the unit(s) and the use of spare parts. * Plan and carry out necessary repairs on-site and in the workshop using standard tools and instruments and with perceived time frame. * Liaison with the Workshop Foreman to ensure timely availability of parts for repair works and report discrepancies to Line Manager in a timely manner. * Make cost effective use of materials and available timeframe in order to maintain the highest productivity levels. * Remain abreast with latest regulations, standards and good working practices within the industry in relation to BOP and Materials Handling and equipment and ensures workshop is tidy and tool boxes are kept to the required standards. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe sucessful canddite will have the following; * A Higher National Certificate or Diploma in mechanical engineering * At least 5 years post certificate experience in the oil/gas industry. * Alternatively, 5 years experience in a technician's position for hydraulics or pneumatics. * Ingersoll Rand winch and hoist experience/certification will be an advantage although not essential as Ingersoll Rand certification course will be offered to the chosen candidate. * You will have a good command of english skills. * Experience of working in UAE. |
