Technology Operations Consultant

Job Purpose:

An operations consultant works in a compliance-based position that assesses strategies and procedures of a company to enhance organizational performance. The operations consultant provides information and enforces guidelines for optimizing business productivity.
The operations consultant offers advice on improving upon established company standards and procedures. This includes recommending new and advanced ways to improve operations productivity.

Job Duties:
• Understand business challenges and translate them into process/technical solutions.
• Facilitate process development initiatives to achieve business goals. Assist in development of project plan and schedule to achieve project goals.
• Conduct operational assessments and deliver recommendations on business process improvements and best practices.
• Identify opportunities for improved operational performance at the organizational level.
• Conduct business operational assessments and deliver recommendations for improvements.
• Develop business plan to meet customer needs and company goals.
• Provide consultation to the management and leaders for operational effectiveness.
• Identify and resolve business risks/issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain operation documentation for reference purposes.
• Guide operations team on business operations and problem solving skills.
• Conduct training to internal team on business processes.
• Operations Consultants should develop the emergency recovery plan, trouble shooting and fault management.
• All the issues related to data storage, recovery or back up management have to be established by Operations consultant.
• Provide strategic guidance with regard to Operations, IT infrastructures and enabling major business processes through enhancements to IT.
• Establish the proper devices for data processing according to the nature of the business. To be able to diagnose and solve any Operational issue related to the IT system they recommended and implemented in a company. Instruct personnel in order to effectively use the IT system and develop their work performance through automated means. In addition, the IT Operational implementation team must be instructed in all necessary aspects of their work in the company by the Operation consultant.

Requirements

• Analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience developing and maintaining system documentation, providing project implementation support and services, and providing training.
• The consultant must be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software, and be highly effective with both oral and written communication.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in team environments with a strong focus on customer service.
• Experience in system administration.
• Conducting training sessions and seminars.
• Testing products and applications.
• Documenting processes and application instructions.
• Generating innovate ideas.
