The Role

The Role

As a Telecom Regulatory Compliance Specialist you will be play a key role in the Regulatory Compliance Department by :

Assisting the management in department functions.

Developing the regulatory compliance program of the Corporation.

Implement the regulatory compliance program throughout the organisation.

Sustain and enhance the regulatory compliance progam.

This includes interacting with corporate employees to make them aware of the regulatory compliance program by conducting surveys, online newsletter etc.

Monitor daily operations with an eye to identify potencial risk factors and possible breach of compliance.

Contribute to quarterly (and ad-hoc) reporting of key information.



The right candiate will be a graduate with bachelors degree or higher in one of the following: Law (LLB), commerce, engineering, education or IT.

Applicants with compliance related certification or membership will be given added advantage,

The right candidate will also have work experience :
A minimum of 1 to 2 years specializing exclusively or predominantly in:
Regulatory compliance enforcement and training.
Implementation of telecoms regulations by an operator.
Ideally the job holder will have worked:
Within the regulatory affairs or compliance department of an incumbent telecoms operator.
For a sector-specific telecoms regulator or a competition or anti-trust regulator.
Within the telecoms or competition / anti-trust practice of a major international law firm or a specialist law firm who has assisted with the implementation of a regulatory compliance program for one or more clients.
