Job description / Role
Our client is a joint venture between a massive European contractor and a large indigenous company in Qatar. Currently they are working on a large-scale billion dollar project in Qatar. They are in need of an experienced Temporary Works Inspector.
*Candidate should have specific experience performing inspection on temporary works/falseworks.*
Requirements:
- This is a strictly inspection position.
- Liaise with design team for designs and solutions for temporary works, falsework, formwork groundworks, and excavations projects.
- Daily liaison with all site sub-contractor Temporary Works Supervisors.
- Daily site tours.
- Pre-Load inspections prior to issuing Load Permit.
- Post Inspection of works prior to Strike of Temporary Works.
- Ensuring safety is carefully considered for non-permanent structures (i.e. scaffolds, hand rails etc.)
- Ensure a correct falsework/temporary works procedures are followed and that operations are carried out safely.
- Be involved in the on-going training and assessment thats carried out on site for the duration of the project.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate registers as needed.
Requirements
- Experience or good understanding of designing of temporary works - falsework, formwork groundworks, excavations, shoring, pilling, and building refurbishment projects.
- 3-5 years experience in similar position.
- NOC available (if applicable).
- Civil Engineering background.
- Previous experience working for a contractor.
- Previous experience on rail/metro projects preferred.
