The RoleThe RoleOur client are a large Oil & Gas business who have been operating in the Middle East for over 50years. Due to current expansion they are looking for a Tendering Engineer to join their Dubai team. Purpose To ensure that all enquiries are quoted for within the specified timescales taking into consideration all aspects of cost that may be incurred to perform the job As the Tendering Engineer you will receive general assignments directly from the Tendering Manager. The position handles most routine matters independently and seeks the assistance of the team members, if necessary. The position interacts with all department personnel. The position will be required to interact with customers/vendors. The complex part of this position is to prioritize work and ensure that the allocated tasks are accomplished timely and accurately. Responsibilities •Ensure clear understanding of the client’s technical specifications/drawings for the manufacture and servicing of Wellhead’s/Xmas trees and associated valves & equipment. •Maintain and update the database of drawings/pricing •Responsible for proposal preparation which includes price structuring and other commercial and technical aspects of bid submission •Liaise with all associated external parties which includes suppliers, subcontractors •Liaise with other departments including engineering, sales, contract administration and procurement departments •Maintain competitive files, statistics, database/tenders •Occasional travel to customer site |
RequirementsRequirements•Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering •Strong computer skills especially in Microsoft Office products •Understanding and experience of Wellhead/Xmas Trees / Valves and associated oilfield products •Strong interpersonal and communication skills •Self starter with ability to trouble shoot and solve technical problems •Enthusiastic, proactive and flexible approach to work •Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage for this position |
