Teradata BI Architect

Job description / Role

Having Technical in-depth knowledge should produce optimum design and Solution Architecture for Projects. Identify and conduct Proof of Concepts and should be highly proficient in the usage of design tools and frameworks

Lead and define system architecture for the application within the boundaries of the enterprise architecture Identify system functionality, and map functionality to software components.

Having in-depth knowledge of design patterns and decision making ability on when and why to use specific patterns.

Liaising with EA for getting approvals on design and exceptions if any.

Understand and address non-functional requirements in system with an optimum design Build, maintain and spread best practices in system architecture to design engineers. Should mentor and groom system architects/ design engineers in the assigned project

Ability to build something innovative and new in technology Review and Modernize the framework/tools and technologies to increase developer productivity and increase quality of deliverable

Requirements

-Design and implementation of Teradata DW solutions
-Performance tuning of Teradata
-Dimensional data modelling
-Proven track record of technical delivery on successful BI/DW projects using Teradata
-Preference for candidates with knowledge of data quality, master data management, metadata management
-Preference for candidates with expertise on Travel and Hospitality data model
-Hands on experience of Informatica ETL is preferable
-Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL on Oracle database is preferable
