Job description / Role
Looking for a strong team of solution breakers. Through breaking a system, you can help build it better. Test Engineers focus on scripting to automate testing and create tools so developers can test their own code. You are the type of person who tries to avoid manual work. Your job is to identify weak design, break software, and identify potential problems. You'll be a vital stakeholder in the software and quality process.
- Develop test strategies and plans.
- Take responsibility in product development for improving product quality.
- Provide logistics support for lab equipment, and for purchasing investments needed for automated test.
- Automate tests; Use frameworks, create harnesses and infrastructure as necessary.
- Write complex code to test systems.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with test automation.
- Experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
Preferred qualifications
- MA/MS in Computer Science.
- 5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of industry experience.
- Experience developing test automation in C++ and Java.
- Extensive knowledge of iOS/Android environments.
- Knowledge of internet technologies and embedded systems.
You use your knowledge of testing and testability to influence both better software and security design, as a part of the engineering team. You will excel by driving bug prevention strategies, testability, privacy, and other advanced quality concepts.
