Job description / Role
A high profile banking client based in the UAE is actively looking for an experienced Software Testing Manager to join a growing team as part of a major transformation programme within Group IT.
Working as part of a wider application management team, the main responsibility for the Test Manager will be to deliver testing projects and that all software testing responsibilities are carried out within relevant testing parameters.
The successful Test Manager will also be responsible for deciding on appropriate technologies and methods to be used, as well as overseeing the development of test plans and translating test scripts.
Furthermore, due to the seniority of the role, candidates will be responsible for reviewing the performance of the testers, as well as appraising work and identifying areas for improvements.
As part of a varied role, the Test Manager will be working closely with counterparts within the PMO, as well as Software Development and Infrastructure teams.
Candidates should have an expert knowledge of software testing processes, methodologies and standards. Furthermore, the successful Test Manager will have a high level understanding of technical application architecture and design, and strong experience of the project life cycle.
From a testing perspective, candidates will ideally have a broad knowledge base of test management tools and will have experience in both manual and automation testing.
Requirements
Due to the complex working environment, candidates should have relevant banking experience, and will have worked within a similar position as a Test Manager or Lead. Prior leadership and man-management skills and experience are a must, as candidates will be expected to coach and mentor members of the team.
Candidates should hold a degree within a relevant field, and will ideally hold relevant industry certifications or qualifications.
