PROJECT BRIEF

Sorbonne University, a 2,000 student coeducational university located on Reem Island, will be comprised of nine bridges, including two academic centres, a library, an auditorium and administration buildings connected to a central plaza. These core facilities will be complemented by male and female dormitories, a dining hall and a sports hall, all integrated to provide a self-contained international standard campus that will appeal to both overseas
and local students.

Client is the asset management services provider consulting with the University during the construction phase. They will be responsible for the handover and the subsequent implementation of ongoing facilities management.

SUMMARY

To maintain an effective timetabling platform accessible to all users and to liaise with the University in order to ensure provided time tabling data is accurately recorded and updated as required to meet the university approved changes.

MAIN DUTIES

• Liaise with University’s representative to receive timetabling data and to ensure such data is readily able to be entered into the timetable system.
• Participate in all timetabling system training on the use of the software and future
updates.
• Respond, in a timely manner, to approved timetabling enquires from University’s
representative and student queries, in person, by telephone, by e-mail and in writing.
• Support the IT Manager to undertake an annual evaluation of operational and
process management issues and with planning beyond the annual cycle.
• Contribute to the annual review of system operation and make recommendations to the IT Manager to improve system operational performance.
• Understand and adhere to the University and Registry policy and regulations.
• Actively participate in regular timetabling meetings as directed by line manger.
• Effectively commutate with colleagues and the clients representative.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCE

• Min year 12 education.
• Full understanding of the English or Arabic language (oral & written)
• Excellent understanding of timetabling software
• Systems Competent in the use of IT: MS Office Systems
• Demonstrable staff management skills
• Min 2 Years experience in data entry operations
• Customer and service focused
