Team Description
As a member of the Trade Finance MENA team, you will be one of the primary contact between corporate and financial institutional clients in MENA and the Bank. Global trade products include letters of credit confirmation/issuance, documentary collections, open account payments, structured trade finance, and syndicated trade. As part of a team and reporting to the Head of Trade Finance MENA, you will manage ongoing relationships with FI's and selective corporate names while generating new business from prospective and under-penetrated clients.

Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

*To be the prime Trade Advisor on all Trade Finance deals which require any element of structuring across the MENA region for Corporates and FIs
*Develop a culture of teamwork, working closely with the Corporate Bankers, Trade Sales, Product, Risk, Legal and Trade Solutions Delivery colleagues to execute transactions under the J.P. *Morgan approved product parameters.
*Along with Trade Risk, Legal and Product, negotiate and execute Trade Finance Agreements with target clients using where possible existing documentary collateral
*Conduct any respective due diligence that may be required either per JPM Credit Policy or deal structure specific
*Build and maintain relationships with key partners / peers within Trade Advisory and Export
*Finance Advisory within MENA and the broader network for synergy / efficiency / solution ideas and structures
*Originate transactions leveraging key internal and external relationships, and lead manage referrals originated within the J.P. Morgan network.
*Work with the Trade Solutions Delivery team where appropriate to ensure an optimal delivery methodology.
*Working with Trade Product, ensure that appropriate due diligence and approvals are in place for the required markets in the MENA region.
*Serve as regional centre of expertise for MENA Trade Finance referrals.
*Provide thought leadership and direction for Trade Finance across both the FI and Corporate space
*Represent the firm in public forums when agreed and approved.
*Report to the MEA Head of Trade and EMEA Head of TSD and Advisory

Manage Activities

*Ensure transactions meet approved J.P. Morgan guideline and Trade specific parameters
*Ensure a disciplined approach to managing transactional risk.
*Establish clear pricing framework to ensure profitability.
*Manage deal evolution, structuring, solution design and deal closing.
*Partner with colleagues globally to replicate, exchange best practice, complete deals.

Requirements

Qualifications/Experience

*Minimum of Bachelors degree;
*Related Front Office experience regarding these structures in a large financial institution
*Substantial experience in the analysis of credit risk, transaction risk and general structuring skills
*Knowledge of MENA market and other emerging markets
*Familiarity with business models and financing strategies in key sectors such as TMT, Oil & Gas and Natural Resources and FIs
*Excellent communication skills;
*Client negotiation as well as team management experience.

*Experience of influencing senior level stakeholders on key business issues and leading a team
