Trade Development Manager - Far East to U.A.E.

Responsibility and accountability for the continuous development, growth and profitability of companys Far East to Sea Freight UAE Trade. Core responsibilities cover the development of key accounts and other clients, develop market segmentation strategies & sales initiatives, alignment of business development strategy, delivery of appropriate solutions, establishing knowledge-sharing within the respective teams and generation of clear and consistent measurement and tracking.

Main responsibilities include:
- Creation, communication and execution of Far East to UAE Sea freight Trade Development Strategy. Development of the Far East to U.A.E. Trade in with the TEU and GP targets set.
- Sea Freight Trade business growth and development. Further Development and retention of existing customer base and focus on new customer development.
- Initiate market segmentation, customer clusters, and marketing initiatives to stimulate successful Sea Freight Trade development for Far East to UAE.
- Identification of regional key target accounts at all levels.
- Taking appropriate corrective actions when concerns on business and customer delivery arise.
- Providing feedback on the creation and enhancement of product suites using personal knowledge and interactions with key clients.
- Knowledge sharing and engagement to ensure teams are up-to-date in critical information relating to Sea Freight Trade development.
- Adherence to all company compliance, legal, human resources, environmental, ISO, Security and health and safety procedures and standards.
- Business delivery against agreed strategy and business plan and overall growth and profit development
- Raising Kuehne + Nagels profile as the leading logistics provider
- Ensuring compliance with QSHE Work Instructions & KN procedures and with all applicable laws & regulations.
- Assessment of industry trends, business potential, competitive activity
- Shipping Evaluation for existing and future business
- Buy and sell Rate Management in with Dxb ZS and Regional and Cooperate Trade managementson instructions
- Follow up on spot selling rates and provide ongoing feedback to Dxb ZS and Regional and Cooperate Trade managements on what rates are required to close business
- Provide quality competitive quotations while ensuring sales provides adequate information
- Close coordination with Sales, follow up on sales leads and quotations
- Follow up to ensure that KPIs are met and that customer service protocols are fully implemented; ensuring prompt & professional resolution of problems.

Requirements

Experience in:
- Land transportation, Logistics, Supply chain, forwarding
- Sea freight Logistics
- Sea Freight Trade Line development
- Customs clearance
- Sales and Business Development
- Excellent knowledge of English and Cantonese languages
- Leadership & Focus - focused, pro-active and self-motivated to support the Kuehne + Nagel organization.
- Knowledge - Industry expert who has detailed knowledge of Far East to UAE Sea Freight Trade development.
- Analysis and Process - able to analyze data and reports and design, enhance and steer processes.
- Customer Orientation - develops collaborative and trusting relationships internally or together with sales staff in customer organization.
- Teamwork - able to build team spirit.
