Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Our client is an international FMCG food & beverage brand. They are seeking a Trade Marketing Manager to deliver maximum R.O.I. on their Trade Spend investment in the region and ensure delivery of the annual business plan.

N.B. Must have experience of working for a multinational FMCG corporation

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Implement and champion the new Activities Based Investment model.
2. GCAM : Achieve annual target.
3. IMS growth : Achieve annual target.
4. Weighted and Numeric distribution : Achieve annual target.
5. Visibility and Forward Share : Achieve annual target.
6. NPD Excellence in execution: Achieve KPIs as per launch brief.
7. Promotional activity: Achieve KPIs as per BP.
8. Post activity review and learnings collation.
9. Ensuring that all distributor teams have all the required tools to succeed in the market.
a. Sales brochures and price lists
b. Must stock, good to stock and opportunity lists
c. Planograms
d. Key account promotional activity planners
e. Point of Sale material

Requirements

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

1. Business degree.
2. Track record of success in a Multinational FMCG corporate.
3. Successful experience in a distributor based RTM model, or experience managing distributors.
4. Successful experience as a KAM dealing with international big box retailers.
5. Demonstrable analytical and negotiation skills.
6. Demonstrable ability to plan and organize complex activities.
7. A strong command over oral and written business English with an ability to understand and communicate clearly. Abilities in Arabic a plus.
8. High degree of familiarity and practice with MS office or equivalent IT tools.

Main interactions within & outside organization / External & Internal Environmental Factors

Internal
1. Reporting of performance versus ABP in all KPIs: Weekly and monthly.
2. Finance: Trade spend planning.
3. Marketing: Brand activity planning and execution.

External
1. Achieving WFC objectives by directing, coaching and controlling the activities of the distributor teams.
2. Influencing and motivating the distributor teams to achieve agreed objectives.
3. Develop JBPs with distributors Key Accounts and Marketing teams and where necessary directly with Key Accounts.
4. Asses tools required by distributor teams and ensure availability via optimal sourcing.
