Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The investment Trader is responsible for receiving orders from clients and placing/executing these orders in the international markets. The function relates to all kind of financial products which are either traded on a regulated market (i.e. equities, ETFs) or over the counter (i.e. fixed income, structured products, funds, etc)
- Communicate requested information to internal and external clients.
- Handle client specific inquiries.
- Reconciliation between Front Office and Back Office at EOD for Trades and Settlements.
- Vigilant inspections of trade orders placed and ensuring that all order requests meet compliance standards.
- Liaising between Fund Admin and Front Office for portfolio reconciliation.
- Follow with Fund Admin all corporate actions for all shares under custody and ensuring they're auctioned accordingly.
- Process all customer requests including periodical email/fax confirmations, statements, fund transfers, share transfers, personal information changes..
- Investigate and resolve clients issues associated with their ADCB/Brokerage Account.
- Maintain a record of all trades executed, charges and payables, by the trades team independently for reconciliation and referencing.
- Abide by the daily shift schedule as required by the business.
- Log and/or file all communications to/from clients and departments for tracking purposes.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.

- Set a financial target and meeting clients as discussed and agreed with Wealth Management trading Desk Manager
- Internal / External Client Services.
- Front Office Back Office Reconciliation.

- Administrative and operational assignments.
- Acquire, build and develop relationships with clients (internal and external) and brokers.
- Sustain threshold levels of trading and continually be updated on the latest market news / macro and micro economics

- Meet set quantifiable dimensions as outlined in the section 3.1 of Job Dimensions.

- Meet all clients requests in a timely and organized manner.
- Ensure all communications made to clients are recorded and followed up timely and professionally.
- Immediate 1st line problem resolution.
- Provide excellent client service to achieve client loyalty.
- Clarify and explain procedures and services. Provide clients a fast, precise, and professional trading experience.

Market Conformity
- Ensure that trades conform to regulations of governing agencies
- Maintain a thorough understanding and rationalize/educate clients about market terms and trading practices.

Systems Familiarity
- Basic understanding and ability to use and communicate via Bloomberg Execution Management Systems.
- Counter parties trading platform
- Prospero

Market Evaluation / Information
- Giving unbiased information about market conditions, social and economic data and financial information to clients.
- Communicating relevant vital regulatory information to clients.

Portfolio Monitoring / Management
- Daily/Weekly review of clients portfolios, highlighting any relevant information (Corporate Actions, dividend payouts, M&A, etc)

Managerial Escalation / Communications
- Support management and recommend new strategies to develop and enhance the business processes and activities.

Decision Making Authority & Responsibility:
- Limited to certain functions, enabling on-the-spot problem resolution.
- Suggesting workflow changes to Head of Brokerage Products.
- Raising any issues relating to system functionality / business workflow.

Administration
- Ensure all compliance and risk codes are adhered to.
- Optimization of resources: building a strong contact base.
- Efficient use of the available systems and platforms
- Assist and contribute in the preparation of reports and operating procedures.

Problem Solving Complexity
- Remedying clients account issues highlighted by the Front and Back Office.
- Excellent communication and computer skills.
- Root analysis to arising issues and referral to management as and when is required.

Requirements

The candidate must be a university degree holder at minimum.

The candidate must be experienced in trading across a variety of asset classes (equities, fixed income, structured products, etc.)
