Trading System Support Analyst - Applications & Infrastructure

Job description / Role

A trading exchange here in the UAE are looking to add to their technical team and require a talented Trading System Support Analyst. The role will involve maintaining the smooth operation of the trading system and associated applications.

Role responsibilities will include:
- Real-time monitoring of production and UAT systems to ensure availability of key process, corresponding hardware and layered software
- Performing necessary scheduled tasks related to Trading & Clearing infrastructure
- Successful planning, change and release management of key applications, as well as upgrades and trouble-shooting as required
- On boarding and support of members and vendors on FIX 5.0 and EMAPI
- Provide support to the Help Desk ,Surveillance and Clearing departments on their technical needs and maintenance applications
- Automation of manual processes to avoid human interference, errors and time saving by Scripting in Windows and Linux environment
- Planning, installation and maintenance of UAT, internal & external TEST Environments and Shadow Environment
- Data Base Administration (My SQL and MS SQL)
- Linux OS Support. Patches update, software updates in all environments using RED HAT Satellite Server
- Manage project life cycle e.g. feasibility study, conceptual design (if require), implementation, documentation, user training, enhancement and closure
- Support to LAN Admin as and when required
- Interact with the Network team and provide necessary inputs for application access and help them in designing LAN, WAN and Network Security infrastructure.

Requirements

- Cross platform experience including Windows/Unix/Linux admin and support
- SQL Database skills and experience
- Good LAN/WAN skills and networking support experience
- Relevant experience supporting trading systems
- Skills, knowledge and experience working with FIX protocol.
