Job description / Role
Parsons Brinckerhoff was selected by Ashghal to provide program management consultant (PMC) services for what is expected to be more than 200 local road and drainage infrastructure projects to be implemented throughout the country over a period of five to seven years. Five general engineering consultants (GECs) have been selected to design, tender and supervise construction of the projects under Parsons Brinckerhoff’s supervision.
As such we have a requirement for experienced Traffic Engineers with strong technical expertise to join an engineering team in Qatar.
Requirements
The Traffic Engineer will be responsible in traffic modeling and operational analysis works using the widely used Traffic Engineering software and tools in consultation and supervision of Senior Engineers
Requirements:
• A Degree in Transportation or a related subject with a minimum of 20 years post graduate experience;
• Candidate must be proficient in the use of ‘VISUM’ the strategic planning software. The experience level in VISUM must be reflected in the past projects undertaken.
• Knowledge of other operational analysis software like SYNCHRO, SIDRA etc is desirable.
• Demonstrate knowledge of transport modeling, traffic network planning
• Transport and traffic operations and transport infrastructure planning
