Traffic Management & Service Patrol Specialist

Job description / Role

Gannett Fleming is looking for and experienced Traffic Management Professional to oversee the Freeway Service Patrol (FSP) program on behalf of our client to ensure the communication and coordination of transportation information with local and Emirati jurisdictions.

Responsible for planning of traffic management for special events and operations (Sporting events, National day, etc.). Provides technical assistance, advice, and guidance relating to FSP issues. Work with other agencies at local, regional, and Emirate levels to enhance system/agency interoperability.

Identify and coordinate with local incident management stakeholders to enhance mobility, including Communications Center personnel and field responders. Ensure operations comply with established performance standards and contract requirements.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Public Safety, Criminal Justice, Business Management, Industrial Freeway, Operations Analysis, or comparable emergency management or transportation field equivalent to this requirement
- Valid Drivers License with zero points or the ability to obtain within three months
- Full-range of physical mobility, visual acuity, and general good health
- 5 years experience in Traffic Incident Management operations
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Radio and phone communications experience
- Familiar with Traffic Management Center control room operational concepts
- Computer proficiency: Windows environment, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook); organized file management
- Strong public speaking and oral communication skills
- Produce written documents with clearly organized thoughts using proper sentence construction, punctuation and grammar
- Scheduling flexibility
- Excellent leadership, professional writing/editing, communication, and organizational skills
- Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to speak and understand Arabic is preferred, but not required
- Strong ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently while meeting quality objectives
