Job description / Role
My client is a leading construction company with a track record of working on some of the regions largest and most high profile projects. They are currently looking to recruit a traffic manager who will be responsible for the design of temporary traffic schemes on highways and motorways. The role will involve the design of temporary traffic schemes including diversions and contra flows and to assist with production of drawings and method statements for submission to the public works authority, consultants and the police.
Your will also be responsible for managing operatives in the setting up and taking down of temporary traffic systems and also manage the recovery of crashed and broken down vehicles.
Requirements
Candidates should have a degree in civil engineering or a related subject and should have hands on experience in the design and management of temporary traffic systems including diversions and contra flow. candidates should have experience design and drawing productions and should be used to liaising directly with the client, consultants and emergency services. candidates must be familiar with Chapter 8 of the design manual for roads and bridges (DMRB) and should have hands on experience of managing operatives in setting out and implementation of traffic measures.
