Traffic Route Planner (Eastern Region) - 6 Vacancies

Exel Saudi Arabia is currently looking to recruit a Traffic Route Planner to manage the order information received from Saudi Aramco using the MTS load scheduling system to plan a cost effective and deliverable solution on a daily basis.
Successful scheduling of the transport fleet within service criteria and budget constraints, ensuring all documentation is processed and completed on time and accurately whilst providing excellent customer service support.

General Accountabilities
•Provision of excellent customer service
•Co-ordination of shipments of goods and optimizing load schedules
•To achieve on time delivery from supplier to final delivery, using MDC’s, MSC’s, or by direct delivery
•Work in collaboration with other DHL sites to maximize efficiencies and best practice
•Ensure compliance with standard operating procedure, local customs and local government body and hazardous goods requirements
•To support the Control tower supervisors, and Control tower manager in their roles
•To monitor, analyze, and evaluate the system and it’s operational performance, recommending future improvements
•Control and delivery of normal/urgent shipments
•To plan code 3’s within the normal day to day routings where possible, but maintaining the required transit time
•Assist in the development of KPI (key performance indicator) information for ongoing monitoring of the IKLP solution
•Investigate routings for new customers/destinations
•Complying with local legislative requirements & company policies and procedures

Local Accountabilities:
•Ensure best use of backhaul facilities where possible
•Manage use of resources for successful delivery of daily transport plan
•Manage communications with customer service team to ensure timely response to customer
•Preparation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) for Planning Solution
•Ensure all orders planned are scheduled centrally using planning solution system
•Optimize operational efficiency through model scenarios and industry best practice

Requirements

Skills:

•2 years experience in a transport environment
•Computer literate with minimum 1 year experience of computerized planning and scheduling systems
•Communication skills in English - verbal & written
•Excellent organizational skills
•Good analytical and numerical skills
•Knowledge of local transportation regulations
•Ability to manage stressful situations and make quick decisions
•Highly adaptable and responsive to customer requirements
•Understanding of principals of Budget and Financial Controls
•Knowledge of geographical area
