The RoleThe Rolei4Research is a UK-owned business that launched successfully in Dubai during 2008. The company provides a video-based traffic data collection service to address the growing requirements of Transportation Planners, Traffic Engineers, and Government organisations for accurate traffic data. We are now looking to appoint a Traffic Survey Manager who will be responsible for conducting our fieldwork (outdoor) throughout Dubai and the other emirates when required. They will lead a team installing temporary cameras at the roadside and liaising with our office administration team and our processing office in India to from project start to finish. The role reports directly to the Country Manager and as the business expands will naturally progress to Country Survey Manager. This is a demanding role with requirements to work during night time and week-ends on occasions. There is also a lot of physical work and the majority of the time is spent on the roadside outdoors throughout the year. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a significant part in the growth of a new business within a rapidly expanding sector. RequirementsRequirementsIdeally the candidate will have experience of conducting traffic surveys and knowledge of the approvals process. Other candidates will be considered who can demonstrate a successful track-record of working in a predominantly outdoor job where they worked flexible and unsociable hours (nights and week-ends) and were responsible for managing a team. An excellent knowledge of the Dubai road network and ideally Abu Dhabi also will be preferred. Individuals withe a CCTV installation or a Market Research fieldwork management background will be at an advantage. Good English language skills are essential and the ability to speak Arabic will also be preferred. A UAE Drivers License is essential. |
