Training & Development Group Leader

Job description / Role

Our client, a large manufacturing company is currently seeking a Training & development group leader to join their operations.
- Responsible in executing and follow-up companys training & development plans.
- Will participate in the planning of training events, monitoring of Qatari nationals trainees progress, selection and liaison with training providers and evaluation of course curricula.
- Responsible to compile the Annual Training Plans by extracting information from the Employee Performance Appraisal System reports and known development plans to ensure that the identified training needs are addressed efficiently.
- Should have a high level of analytical thinking to assist superiors in the value-added analysis of training programs.
- Assist superior in the identification of Qatari high fliers and provide input to the succession planning system.
- Will be involved in promoting the client's T&D and Career opportunities at local educational institutions to attract and motivate Qatari nationals student in considering the client as a preferred employer.

Requirements

- Bachelors Degree in a relevant area or engineering background is an advantage.
- 10 years direct and relevant experience in a Training & Development function of a large industrial organization preferably in oil/gas or petrochemical industry.
- Specialized Training in Training / Coaching / Career Development.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Should be computer literate and have excellent presentation skills.
