Employment: Full Time

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Develop and drive execution of education plan for the MEA region for external and internal business partners, to support therapy development across the Middle East and Africa region (MEA).
Be a partner with the business unit in developing Medtronic’s image as the best educational partner for coronary disease management.
Customize, Standardize Conduct various training and certification programs
Partner with international or regional KOLs or rising stars to support training plan
Continuously measure effectiveness, and quality of the education programs
Continuously assess gaps and identify unmet customer/distributors/employee educational needs and satisfy education requirements accordingly.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

* Work within marketing and sales organization to establish strategy and plans for customer and employee curriculum on a long term and annual basis.
* Execute training and education courses for customers according to the training plan and maximize attendance of the targeted participants.
* Certify health care professionals and local support teams on products and therapies
* Assess customer educational needs in conjunction with business director, CVG T&E colleagues, Academia manager and marketing team to ensure alignment of customer courses curriculum with the business objectives, positioning strategies and key selling messages.
* Assess training needs for the sales teams in conjunction with business director, sales managers and marketing teams to ensure the execution of our sales strategies according to our business objectives.
* Develop and execute training programs for the sales organization to maximize sales effectiveness and ensure competency regarding product and therapy knowledge.
* Incorporate clinical evidence based selling in internal and external training programs
* Ensure compliance with Medtronic’s BCS standards and local legal requirements.
* Analyze the gap in educational needs for the MEA region: HealthCare Professionals and Employees.
* Set the BU educational annual goals and objectives; and partner with the T&E team in the entities to drive programs in the MEA region.
* Responsible for both employee training and external trainings (HCPs, Adminsitrators)
* Work with the MEA team on the marketing and market development plans.
* Continuously identify and satisfy unmet customer/business partner educational needs.
* Develop customer/business partner education programs to support key strategies of the Business Unit
* Facilitate the best practice sharing among the different entities.
* Establish and monitor effectiveness, impact and quality of customer and employee education.

Team management

External and internal Cooperation
* Manage, coach and develop T&E team members in the entities to created education plan, and execute training and education projects/events according to the business and therapy development needs.
* Coordinate proctoring and training contracts with legal/Compliance where needed
* Attract and partner with key opinion leaders and experts as faculty and trainers for Medtronic training and education programs in the MEA region.
* Cooperate with the SBU to align with the global training strategy and adapt to the needs in Middle East and Africa.
* Engage with training and education departments across CVG and the entire Medtronic organization to exchange and benefit from existing ideas and projects to aim for best practice and cost reduction.

Requirements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
* Advanced degree in business administration, marketing or education, or in the healthcare industry.
* An MBA is a plus
* Fluent in English, Turkish or Farsi. Arabic & French are a plus

JOB EXPERIENCE
* Proven experience with training/education in the medical device industry.
* Minimum of 10 years education, clinical or marketing experience in cardiovascular or other similar medical device areas or businesses.
* 7-10 years’ experience in a multinational regional or HQ environment
* Excellent medical knowledge preferably in the coronary vascular disease management and related therapies
* Extensive travel is essential
