Employment: Full Time

Our client is an international services company with headquarters in Europe. They operate road and air transportation networks in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Americas.

Thanks to the company’s rapid growth, they currently seek to appoint a qualified & experienced Training Manager - MENA to improve Business performance through the production, delivery and evaluation of the entity’s training and development plan, in consultation with stakeholders and in support of the functional and HR strategies and guidelines.

The successful candidate will have the right attitude, good Multinational exposure with excellent English skills (Arabic will be an added advantage) and a minimum of 4 years of soft skills training. You should also be eligible to travel to Middle Eastern & Africa countries, specifically Saudi Arabic & Kuwait, in line with local country regulations.

Reporting to the HR Director – ME & Africa and Global Manager – Learning Centre Delivery, you will have a team of 2 Trainers and one Training Coordinator that will report in to you.

Core responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Learning Solutions Management & Deployment
• Implementing the company’s global development policies and procedures
• Conducting the entity Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) in line with Global Guidelines.
• Developing the annual delivery plan for agreement with entity Managing Director, HR Director and Global Manager Learning Centre Delivery.
• Supporting your entity Management teams to seek approval of their yearly functional delivery plan via their functional stream.
• Identifying additional training needs within entity for functional board approval and subsequent handover to the Development team.
• Setting and locally managing the budget and resource requirements for the effective delivery of the agreed plan.
• Managing the delivery of the Functional, Leadership and Talent Learning Curricula at entity level to an agreed plan within targeted timescales and budget.
• Providing monthly reports to your line management on the status of the development activity within entity to agreed KPI’s.
• Monitoring the effectiveness of the learning solutions.

Administration & Reporting
• Organizing and managing all required administrative processes in support of entity training delivery.
• Collating and monitoring information on the quality and effectiveness of all delivered programmes.
• Ensuring that accurate statistics and reports are prepared for the Global Manager Learning Centre Delivery within specified timescales.
• Analyzing the information gathered to identify potential improvements and continuously improve our provision.
• Monitoring and maintaining the local training database/Learning Management System (LMS) in line with the global guidelines and local legal requirements.

People Management (in relation to own team)
• Managing performance in line with our company policy and guidelines.
• Conducting performance/talent reviews (appraisals, career and competency reviews) in line with our company policy and guidelines.
• Communicating and monitoring clear individual performance objectives and service standards.
• Actively encouraging the personal and professional development of your team, helping them to continuously their capability and ensuring that personal development plans are current and actively pursued.
• Planning and conducting regular 1:1 reviews/coaching sessions with your direct reports.

Networking and Project Delivery
• Collaborating across the Global HR community to facilitate the effective delivery of the HR Strategy.
• Representing the Learning Centre Delivery team in entity, Head office and supplier meetings.
• Supporting cross entity requests for collaboration.
• Participating in any global learning delivery related projects/initiatives.

Requirements

To be a part of this continuously growing organization, you will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, with the ability to deal with internal and external business partners in all levels of an organization, the ability to work independently and make decisions with limited direction and under tight deadlines and have strong personal ethics and influencing skills. You will also be required to hold a valid UAE driving license.
