The RoleThe RolePlug-ins Electronix, a member of the Al-Futtaim Group's electronics division, is the largest multi-brand electronics and IT retailer in the UAE. In this role you will be responsible for: • Training Strategy & Business Plan- Plan, develop and implement strategy for staff training and development, establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of staff training and development to meet short and long term business goals. At the same time ensure that all (line) managers are fully informed of staff training and development objectives, purposes and achievements. • Training Budget- Develop, allocate, administer and track training budget by considering the costs of planned programs and by keeping within entire manpower budget, especially by assessing the return on investment of any training or development programme. In conjunction manage & control departmental expenditure within agreed budgets. • Training Needs Assessment- Liaise with (line) managers, TDC, so as to understand all necessary aspects and needs of staff training and development, and identify training & development needs through job analysis, appraisal schemes, etc.. Also conduct interviews and observation studies during location visits; all in order to accurately & efficiently determine the training requirements and objectives for the individual stores. • Training Programs- Design, develop and recommend training & development programs based on both the organisation's and the individual's needs to assure that training fulfills co-worker needs, objectives and relevant organisational and statutory policies, including health & safety, employment and equality laws. As well deliver training presentations, or alternatively, arrange for others to do so on a one-to-one basis or in groups, as per the training requirements by using the proper training tools & techniques in order to achieve the yearly & strategic training objectives. • On the Job Training (OTJ) - Be responsible for developing and supporting the assigned coaches (well experienced line managers) with coordinating the OTJ training (store management, in-store logistics, communication & interior design, etc.) in the store for new managers & specialists, as well as providing the right up-to-date learning materials. Furthermore collect the evaluation documents from the coaches & participants (from the two stores in Dubai & AUH, and monitor how effective the programs are running, and take actions when needed. In addition organize training venues, logistics, transport, accommodation as required to achieve efficient training attendance & delivery of training programs. • Training Efficiency and Effectiveness - Monitor, measure and report on staff training & development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales by using assessments, tests, questionnaires and through discussions with (line) managers. This will ensure the active participation of the (line) managers in the evaluation process of their staff and the continuous improvement and updating of the training courses. In addition evaluate & adapt training & development programs based on changes that occur in the work environment. • External Training Providers- Identify, select and manage external training providers necessary to deliver required training to appropriate standards, only in cases where the Al Futtaim Training & Development Centre (AFTDC) are not able to provide identified training requirements (With regards to AFTC training courses support the Electronics HR Business Partner in liaising with the AFTDC after receiving the recommendations from the (line) managers. This will ensure and enhance the overall efficiency & efficiency of the training process. • Succession Planning, Human Resources Personnel Development & Self Development- Assist and encourage staff members in developmental growth through skill level assessments and programs; Indentify and develop indirect-reporting training staff; Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary staff training and development theory and methods. • Training Equipment - Arrange for the maintenance of all necessary equipment and materials relating to the effective delivery and measurement of training. |
RequirementsRequirementsTo be seriously considered for this role you must have: • Bachelor's degree holder in Training • Equivalent certification in training in retail industry • Provide consultation and/or training expert advice • Assess organizational needs • Deliver presentations or training using acceptable methods and techniques • Have an understanding of e-learning techniques • Operate scanning/ imaging and/or photographic, audio-visual, or related equipment • Highly skilled in PowerPoint and Excel • Use IT to produce training materials and manuals • Highly motivated individual with strong communication and presentation skills • Able to multitask, adapt and work independently in a fast-paced environment • Quality-focused, attentive to detail and results-oriented deal with people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism |
