Training Officer - Retail - Qatar Duty Free - Doha

As a key member of the newly created Training & Development (T&D) team within QDF, the Training Specialist will support the T&D Manager with the implementation of training strategy and the training operational plan. He/she will also be responsible for managing a number of high profile projects whilst developing and facilitating training which will cover a wide range of technical and non-technical programmes. The incumbent will ensure that people are equipped with the required behavioural knowledge and skills to support QDF in achieving its objectives.

The training officer overall responsibility will be to enhance the technical competencies of QDF staff through consulting, designing and delivering all technical related training.

Some of the areas of responsibilities are:

* Conducts training needs assessment by collecting information pertaining to work procedures, work flow, and reports; understanding job-specific functions and tasks.

* Manage and deliver training programs in accordance with business needs, industry regulatory requirements, and Qatar Laws.

* Work with Security, Health & Safety, and other subject matter experts to create any standards, procedures, and/or work instructions needed to support the training identified.

* Support and develop Warehouse staff moving from a manual to semi-automated system

* Design and Deliver required training for HIA

* Managing the roll out of e-learning modules across all of QDF and work with stakeholders to develop QDF centric e-learning modules

* Managing all product knowledge training across all QDF departments

* This role will be largely based between Warehouse and HIA

Requirements

The successful candidate will be have a minimum Diploma, Associate Degree or equivalent. He/she will be an excellent communicator, a strong leader whilst possessing exceptional presentation skills. A minimum of 7 years of training experience in a retail industry.

A strong coaching, training and facilitation background will be necessary to be successful; with excellent knowledge of learning and evaluation theories, techniques and design solutions. Advanced MS Office skills will be required. To be successful you must also be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment, high pressure, time sensitive environment.
