Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

- Utilizes travel demand modeling using currently used packages such as VISUM, CUBE etc.
- Performs operational analysis using standard techniques and packages such as SYNCHRO, HCS, VISSIM.
- Prepares traffic impact studies for small and large developments including data collection and analysis); development and analysis of mitigation measures.
- Completes urban metropolitan transportation planning and traffic engineering tasks including corridor studies, regional network studies.
- Performs data analysis.
- Identifies problems and makes recommendations.

Requirements

- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Preferably with Masters in Transportation Planning Traffic Engineering or related discipline.
- 5-10 years experience in transportation planning including preparation of traffic impact studies for small and large developments, travel demand modeling, including transit modeling (CUBE experience desirable), operational traffic analysis and micro-simulation.
- Sound understanding of travel demand modeling theory and practice.
- Excellent communication skills particularly in report writing.
- Preferably with Project management experience.
- Preferably with programming experience (e.g. writing macros in VBA) and working with complex spreadsheets desirable.
