Travel Retail Account Manager - Middle East, India & Africa

Trading for over 170 years our client , headquartered in Scotland, is a high quality specialist manufacturer within the foods and drinks sector.

To help consolidate and build on the significant progress the brand has made within the Middle East region over the last 5 years the company are seeking to hire a Travel Retail Account Manager to be based in Dubai.

The successful candidate will manage existing accounts throughout the Middle East, India and African Travel Retail channels.

Reporting to the Area Director for Middle East, India and Africa, also based in Dubai, and with wider corporate support offered via the Glasgow based headquarters the Travel Retail Account Managers key outputs are as follows;

Key Outputs
- Develop a strategy for continued growth for the Middle East Region and a strategy for developing and creating an effective RTM in India and African Travel Retail channels.
- Develop effective trading relationships and RTM across area of responsibility.
- Work closely with Trade Marketing Managers in the regions to ensure promotions are activated and visible.
- Continually seek new opportunities & contacts for the development of the brand
- Ensure distributers are motivated & focused upon the strategic priorities for the region.
- Ensure that forecasts are maintained & updated monthly.
- Develop a strong working relationship with corporate functions such as Credit Control & Operations to minimise risk & optimise planning efficiency.
- Deliver budgeted volume & BC numbers

Requirements

- 5 years plus experience of managing account relationships within Travel Retail channels. Food and drinks experience would be an advantage but is not crucial. Ideally you will have experience within a travel focused product such as jewelry, confectionary, perfumes, tobacco products etc.
- Shop floor management and motivating sales staff
- Trade marketing experience / exposure is an added advantage.
- Regional exposure to an intensive trading environment
- Significant experience of managing a P&L across multiple markets or channels.
- Previous business responsibility for ME, India or Africa essential.
- UAE Driving licence compulsory
- Fluency in English is essential with Arabic language skills an advantage.
