Treasury Dealer

Job description / Role

Our client is one of the largest commercial bank and has moved from a public sector organization into a modern commercial bank. They have diversified their business portfolio and are today a major lead player in the debt equity market, corporate investment banking, retail and consumer banking, agricultural financing, treasury services. They are currently looking for a Treasury Dealer

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Executes transactions as part of the banks liquidity, cash and/or currency risk management
- Subject to dealing and counterparty limits, trades in currency and interest-rate instruments or commodities on the banks account, possibly on the clients request
- Closes client transactions
- Monitors the value and risks of their position
- Monitors the development of new financial instruments
- Follows international financial, economic, political and social trends and assesses their possible effects on exchange and interest rates
- Approaches existing and potential counterparties, and accepts bid and/or offer prices

Requirements

- Relevant degree and certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Understands the role of the Financial Markets department within the bank, and their own responsibilities within the department
- Knowledge of other financial instruments traded on the interest rate, currency and commodities markets
