Job description / Role
An MNC based in Saudi Arabia are looking to appoint a Risk Specialist within their Treasury team. The main purpose of this role is to add value to the corporation through management of financial risks. The Treasury processes drive for excellence and innovation in all financial activities.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a portfolio of foreign exchange (FX), interest rate, and precious metal exposures by developing and implementing hedging strategies
• Model risks associated with various market scenarios and assess the cost, effectiveness and economic results of mitigating those risks
• Manage counterparty credit risk
• Work closely with the other Treasury processes and Finance Functions.
Requirements
• Bachelor in Finance, Accounting or related academic discipline, MBA and or specialized certificates desirable
• Minimum 15-20 Years’ experience in relevant fields
• Previous Treasury experience is a prerequisite and previous experience in financial risk management is highly desirable. Candidates must be comfortable taking calculated risk, managing those risks within certain parameters and are accountable for generating value as quantified by customized benchmarks.
• Tact and objectivity in interfacing with both management and individuals at lower levels within the Company
• Background in Bank/Corporate Treasury is a plus
• Hedge accounting knowledge is a plus
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to communicate and negotiate with a variety of internal and external constituencies.
• Strong managerial, planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills
• Strong SAP skills.
• Mentoring and communication skills consistent with the position
• Proficient in English, Arabic would be a plus
