Job Summary
The job is primary a senior position with leadership responsibility of a small team up to max 2 employees, (currently one person). This position requires particular attention, focus, sharpness in managing, reporting, and interfacing all liquidity and cash management issues of the company.
The selected candidate requires an strong inclination and experience in developing a wide communications platform both internally and externally to the company. This is a pivotal role in the overall structure, tying all the company’s transactions with the with banking institutions.
This profile is responsible for ensuring correctness and punctual production of cash management forecasts on deadline to Top Management through the Chief Accountant. The position is also fully responsible for the proper and timely reconciliation of banking transactions to Accounts both to Payables and to Receivables in the required level of detail. This will be combined with a large array of responsibilities, and will reflect control of the overall company trade cycle adopting a timely, systematic and rigorous approach.
This position requires a long term commitment and the possibilities for improvement are numerous.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
• Fully responsible for the creation, coordination, processing, and reporting all banking facilities such as:
• Company loans
• Rates of interest
• Rates of currency exchange
• Hedging facilities and forward contracts both on price and FX when applicable. o Letters of credit
• Letters of guarantee
• Overdraft limits
• Bonds: bid, performance, retention, etc...
• Make sure bank statements are constantly reconciled by bank, by number of accounts in every bank.
• Report on a timely basis all issues relating to bank statements and the details with payables and receivables.
• Maintain proper recording and clear filing of all banking transactions and payroll transactions with proper referencing, safeguarding following the company’s confidentiality umbrella.
• Frequently meet with banks to troubleshoot all matters relating to ATM cards to employees and to company.
• Control all matters relating to the company’s online netbanking activities, access rights, permissions, and accurately troubleshoot all issues directly with the banks.
• Make sure checks are well printed and properly and safely handed over to their respective beneficiaries.
• Create proper recording of all relevant paperwork with proper referencing for easy tracking
• Make sure banks are well informed of these critical issues well in advance to prevent bottle¬necking the day to day operations.
• Interface intensely with peers in the department to keep them updated on key changes in transactions, forecasts, provisions, and other luring risks for better forecasting along the reporting chain.
• Coordinate the eventual integration between the company's ERP system and that of the bank on issues such as online bank statement reconciliations.
• Temporarily host the further development of Accpac until a dedicated expert joins the team.
• Ad-hoc tasks required by team members and/or Top Management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will be leading one cashier.
Requirements
Educational Background Required
MBA from a recognized institution, and recognized by its respective ministry of education and higher educational authority.
Languages Required
• Fluency in English written, spoken is an absolute must.
• Fluency in Arabic written, spoken is an absolute must.
Work Experience Required
5-7 years within the same function with proven record of having managed and organized a similar environment with a similar team size. Extensive knowledge in investment banking is a major plus.
Extensive knowledge in Saudi Arabian banking practices, Saudi Labour laws, and netbanking user experiences is a clear advantage.Strong experience in managing LC’s, LG’s, loans and other financing and cash management products. Price hedging experience and previous exposure is also an added advantage.
Technical Skills Required
• Super user in Ms. Excel is a clear advantage, as large volume of data must be updated and properly analyzed and accurately reported.
• Must be highly proficient in bulding analytical reports at high level, and most importantly understand how to interpret them, by giving a business meaning to numbers.
