Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

A very prestigious client of ours is looking to hire a Tug Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi.

The functions for this position would include but not be limited to:

To act as Senior Watch keeping Engineer during vessel operations.

To oversee and train as necessary the tug mechanic.

To oversee and be responsible for the implementation and completion of all maintenance programs.

To keep and maintain engine room logs and records as required by the Marine Engineering Manager

To liaise with the following as required:
- Tug Captain
- Control tower staff
- Marine Engineering
- Class surveyors

To oversee repairs and maintenance carried out by contractors staff during dry dockings or major repair periods.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of Tug boats.

The candidate should be a go getter & should have enough experience to apply for this job.
