Job description / Role
A Tunnel Boring Machine Workshop Manager is required for an International Contractor based in Qatar on one of the prestigious Metro Lines.
This employer are seen as one of the most high profile & successful businesses within the Main Contracting Sector. They employ over 105,000 Staff worldwide.
This role needs someone that has a clear strength working on TBM machinery.
Reporting into the Head of Tunnels & PD you will be responsible for all the TBM machines operating on site in Doha.
You will have a real strong experience with HERRENKNECHT machinery, being well aware of the strengths & weakness that they posses. More importantly you will be able to keep the machines operating and moving.
Once a machine has broken down or has an issue the program is slipping & cost implications occur on site which cant happen.
Your career history will show having taken plant from the start of a project through to delivery & handover to the client.
These projects most likely consist of RAIL / METROS / HIGHWAY TUNNELS / AIRPORT LINKS.
Requirements
You will be able to motivate & lead a team showing drive, ability & experience. You will have experience of working & managing teams in extreme heat within the GCC or Asia.
- In charge of all mechanic issues on TBM Machines / In charge of associated equipments mechanical issues when needed
- Expert in TBM / Expert in hydraulic
- Maintenance follows up on LIP
- Mechanical technician education with long experience to reach the technical level required
- Specialty in pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical
- Minimum 10 years of experience in similar activity
- Mandatory 10 years of experience in tunnel activities
