Tunnel MEP Specialist

Job description / Role

To manage, oversee and be responsible for the delivery of technical outputs of MEP design and Supervision on Tunnels and Corridors.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Undertake MEP design services within an Operation and Maintenance environment which may include (but not limited to); scheme investigation, site and structure inspections, data collection and analysis, works/construction inspection and supervision to progress scheme design, development and construction of the following:
- Managing the delivery of technical outputs.
- Contributing to Value Management / Engineering to support Project Managers in ensuring that schemes are delivered with innovation.
- Deliver improvements to SHEQ within all aspects of projects and lead task groups where appropriate to develop, communicate and implement SHEQ improvements.
- Carrying out the checking, certifying and authorising for issue designs, documents, approvals, Professional Skill and Care Certificates and reports.
- Technical input to the agreement of project briefs, proposals and deliverables with Project Manager.
- Ensuring that delivery is achieved in accordance with Mouchels management systems including Health and Safety, project and risk management.
- Develop the talent within Engineering Services by coaching and mentoring Engineers, Technicians and Graduates and supporting their technical career development aspirations.
- Support Team Managers with provision of information on the technical performance for PPA / PPD sessions.

Requirements

- M.Sc. in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or in a relevant Field. 10 years min experience tunnel experience a must. B.Sc alternative is acceptable but with min of 15 years.
- Have knowledge and experience in Tunnel MEP Design and Operation and be able to check the technical outputs of the O&M Contractor.
- Knowledge and experience of the main management systems & processes used within Mouchel or a similar consultancy business.
- Detailed/demonstrable experience and knowledge of Tunnel MEP Design and Operation and multi-disciplinary team integration.
- Detailed/demonstrable experience and knowledge of infrastructure projects including statutory liaison and multi-disciplinary team integration.
- Able to carry out technical compliance checks for project team outputs.
- Must be computer literate. Ability to work without supervision essential, you will have the drive and determination to meet targets.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
