Tunnel Ventilation Engineer

Job description / Role

Our client is the leading provider of world class project management services in the region. They are currently managing mega projects in various locations around the world while cultivating potential markets and playing an integral role in the development of international communities. Our client is currently looking for a Tunnel Ventelation Engineer for their project in Qatar.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- To check design meets with Employers Requirements and latest legislative requirements.
- To ensure the operations are compliant with the latest standard regularization on safety aspects.
- Supervise the Installation of Tunnel Ventilation, Smoke Extractionand HVAC systems.
- Verify MEP openings / plinths are adequate for Piping / Equipment.
- Coordinate with other MEP / Architectural trades for clash resolution.
- Be conversant with QA/QC procedures and processes.
- Assist with the Testing and Commissioning activities.
- Verify As Built Drawings are correct.

Requirements

- Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years of experience.
- 5 years in similar large-scale Infrastructure Projects and/ or Rail Transport Systems.
- International Experience (Middle-East) of working in Engineering Management Firm or in a construction site environment.
- Excellent oral and written English language.
- Qualified professional who can manage and coordinate specialised activity, discipline or team of moderate size and complexity.
- Leads in the formulation of advanced technical concepts.
- Provides specialist services in support of project requirements.
- Independently performs highly complex professional assignments demanding contributions calling for the application of specialised principles.
- Strong Communication (written and oral) skills.
- Computer Proficiency (MS Excel, MS Word and Power Point).
- Evaluating material properties and Equipment with independent verification in accordance with international codes.
- Filing field reports and supervising site individuals.
