Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Mehmal Al Marifa, which means a vessel collecting knowledge / people / assets, is Al Futtaim's nationalization programme which is aimed at offering all GCC Nationals career opportunities in its various diverse businesses across the GCC.

The Emiratisation initiatives cover many tailored programmes for nationals in Retail tailored Traineeships, Automotive Apprenticeships, Electronic Traineeships, Insurance Traineeships, Automotive Sales Programme and also in their service areas of finance, marketing, IT, Travel, etc., Opportunity is provided to nationals in all levels from Sales to Senior Positions of Management. Commencing from 2011 Al Futtaim is launching Intelaq a UAE Graduate Management Trainee Programme aimed at fresh graduates and giving them an opportunity to learn from experienced and professional Coaches and Mentors over a period of 18 months.

We also participate in the monthly and annual career fairs to attract and bring in talent offering present flexible work options like full time, part time, weekend employment and summer jobs. Mehmal Al Marifa also works closely with the Educational / Academic Institutions and Government Institutions across the UAE to offer opportunities to young nationals in the Al Futtaim Group across the GCC.

The Emiratisation Business Partner guides and manages the overall provision of Human Resources services, policies, and programs for the entire division in line with company policies and procedures.

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Create and support a continuous improvement environment for HR Activities within the Business Unit.
* Ensure new Emirate employees are properly inducted into the business and given support to become productive as quickly as possible.
* Develop succession plans and retention strategies for key talent and positions.
* Formulate and implement performance management plans to improve performance or assist with exit from the organization.
* Support line managers in creating a culture of employee engagement based upon ‘Al Futtaim Way' values.
* Communicate and implement changes to Emiratisation and HR policies
* Ensure disciplinary procedure is properly applied before any employee is exited from the business.
* Act as a trusted Emiratisation business partner and coach to senior line management. 
* Consult and support Emirates across the business units. 
* Support and facilitate the implementation of business structure reorganization and consolidation to deliver efficiencies.
* Ensure compliance with localization policy and targets. 
* Provide high level support to Emirates ensuring they are allocated a suitable mentor in the business and management is connected to the development plan for each new National.
* Consult with each business manager and HR to ensure suitable workplace mentors are selected for the Emirates.
* Conduct training sessions for mentors to ensure they have the correct skills to mentor Emirates in the business.
* In consultation with the business management and HR develop meeting schedules for each Emirates and mentor to ensure support is maintained and well planned.
* Plan and conduct high level review meetings with management to feedback workplace performance of Emirates and communicate areas of concern for resolution e.g. bullying in the workplace, poor attendance.
* Co-ordinate the Induction of new Emirates to ensure they are well equipped with all necessary training and information before entering the workplace.
* Plan and conduct regular visits to the business to monitor the performance of UAE National and levels of support offered to UAE employees.
* Communicate all training sessions to the UAE Employees, Mentor and Manager ensuring compliance in attendance.
* Co-ordinate the recruitment process within nominated businesses to ensure manpower plans are accurate and are maintained to meet the requirement of government levies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must have:

* Good communication and problem solving skills.
* Sound and energetic communication skills
* High standard of personal organisation and responsibility
* Potential to break new ground to foster our Emirates
* Degree qualification in HR or Administration or extensive experience
* Business knowledge of Microsoft office, PowerPoint and Excel
