UAE Nationals IT Director

Job description / Role

Responsible for driving the development and implementation ofIT strategy, policies and procedures required to support the achievement of business strategies and operations.
• Ensure that throughout the organisation IT needs are understood and to demonstrate and develop the potential of IT in all areas.
• Provide direction and manage Section Managers in performing their delegated tasks;
• Review all periodic performance reports prepared by Section Managers and prepare the IT Performance Report;
• Review and quality assure all services and work-products delivered by IT in compliance with established policies and procedures;
• Ensure that all the IT technology needs are identified to ensure that IT processes are performed efficiently and cost effectively;
• Manage and oversee the development and implementation of IT systems and infrastructure across the organization, including (but not limited to):
- Maintaining system(s), software upgrades, connectivity
- LAN/WAN management
- Servers
- Hardware (PC’s, printers and other peripherals)
- Helpdesk/user support
- Software management
- Firewall management/security
- Access Control Policy management
- Storage & Backup management
- IT risk management

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in IT or related field
Master's Degree in IT
• Demonstrated skills in leadership and management.
• IT technical/professional qualification
• English & Arabic Language
• 15 years overall IT experience, with min. 5 years in a senior management role
• Experience in public sector
