Since 2003, we have been working with companies to become powerful, self-sustaining recruiters. Today, with offices across Asia and the Middle East, we service clients in 64 countries around the world.
We are looking to hire UI designer and developer for our team.
Your objective is to build web applications that are a pleasure to use and also look great. The development team takes care of the technical stuff such as APIs and databases. The client services team takes care of product implementation and customer feedback. Your goal is to make the product easy to use and beautiful!
We are NOT looking for a graphics designer; we want somebody from a development background with a great eye for aesthetics.
There are three primary areas of responsibility:
User experience
- Create prototypes of user-interfaces
- Suggest the best options for user interaction elements
- Design the flow of the application/website to be easy to use
- Train the team in good UI design
- Knowledge base of design practices
- Monitor user behavior and suggest changes
Design
- Work with graphics designers
- Maintain consistency in colour palette and visual guidelines
- Make the application look great
Development
- Build modern, responsive websites
- Front-end optimization
- Back-end development on ASP.NET and SQL Server
- Backward compatibility with older browsers
Requirements
You are a smart and savvy developer, with 4-5 years of front-end development experience under your belt, as well as some back-end development experience on ASP.NET. You have worked on large enterprise web applications or high-volume websites.
You have a firm grasp on the following technologies:
- Prototyping and UI mockups
- Adobe Photoshop
- jquery and jquery UI
- Ajax
- Responsive design
- HTML 5
- CSS 3 (as well as older versions)
- Cross-browser compatibility
- SASS
- CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap
- ASP.NET
Experience on the following would be ideal:
- Visual Studio
- Source Control (we use TFS)
- Telerik (Devcraft) control suite
- Adobe Illustrator
- Knockout
- UI in multiple languages, especially Chinese and Arabic
