URGENT Civil supervisor

The role will include supervision of the work activities of the subcontractors in accordance with the established policies, procedures, quality and systems as approved by the company.

Following site management instructions you will supervise and may be required to direct the daily efforts of the construction of the project.

Requirements

Responsibilities
• Supports the Construction Manager to ensure timely completion against schedule and makes recommendations to increase resources to improve performance, where required
• Supervises daily activities to ensure compliances scheduling and testing is conducted
• Verifies installation is in accordance with AFC documents and specifications
• Supervise in order to minimize, and report issues of non-conformance and poor quality in liaison with the QC Engineer
• Supports activities of the Program HS&E Plan and procedures and attends toolbox meetings. Provide support to H&S Officers on the site
• Responsible for the construction effort through the supervision of civil subcontractor superintendents and site civil engineers in assigned area of project
• Ensures subcontractors compliance with Permit to Work systems and operating company procedures
• Ensures subcontractors compliance with HSE and QA/QC Plans
• Builds and maintains a positive working relationship with the subcontractors
• Assists Construction Manager and Project managers with coordination of materials and tracking of asset inventory
Education / Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree
Skills and Experience
• A minimum of 10 years of construction related experience in civil infrastructure projects
• A minimum of 5 years of experience (Middle East Preferred) as Construction Supervisor in infrastructure projects, preferably in a secure environment
• Previous experience and understanding relating to electrical and communications installations
• Requires a sound knowledge of construction techniques and craft skills
