Job description / Role
User experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) designer (Arabic Speaker) is required by a leading renowned Media company based in Dubai. You will be joining a growing cutting edge team that is seeking a passionate, dedicated designer with strong interests and capabilities in the design and development of engaging user experiences. The ideal candidate will thrive in a high-paced working environment that requires strong problem solving skills and independent self-direction. You must have a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies as well as a proven track record.
• Basic conceptual knowledge of user experience and usability research/testing.
• Own end to end responsibility and understand customer brief to produce innovative, creative and highly usable interfaces ·
• Understanding of the end users of the website/application through secondary and primary research (user interviews, traffic data). Capable of generating user personas and user scenarios.
• Preparing low-high fidelity prototypes of sites/features (ranging from paper-and-pencil concepts to wireframes or interactive prototypes) for internal review and brain storming.
• Review and understand technical feasibility of the project.
• Presenting high fidelity designs/mock-ups to the customer for review/iteration/approval.
• Ability to communicate and engage with customers explaining his/her design philosophy
• Documenting Information Architecture, competitive analysis and functional specifications
• Working closely with UX director to strategize and implement new ideas and designs.
• Liaise with the research team as and when required.
• Must be a native Arabic speaker
Requirements
Passion for user experience through clean interaction and visual design
• Ownership end-to-end from creating a vision to prototyping to user testing
• Experience with touch user interface, Android or iOS highly preferred
• Expert in using Photoshop, Illustrator
• HTML/CSS3 proficiency
• Passion for solving complex UX challenges related to ecommerce
• Mobile platform experience
• Ability to design within an existing visual style
• Wireframes/ Mockups/ simple, logical design
• Familiar with Twitter Bootstrap Framework
• Sense of humor
