Job description / Role
• Private organization in the UAE with a reputation of one of the world’s leader in IVF and infertility science;
• Looking for a female Ultrasound Technician experienced in high-risk OB sonography;

Provides diagnostic studies, treatment and support to high-risk obstetric patients by performing specific diagnostic tests as ordered by providers. Has full knowledge of the indications, contraindications, and hazards associated with procedures provided. Assures accuracy of test results, reports and equipment by having a thorough understanding of tests and techniques. Maintains equipment in good working order.
Duties: Patient Care
• Perform wide variety of clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography exams.
• Explain procedure to patient and check to assure understanding.
• Assist patient in preparing for exam (i.e. positioning, getting onto table).
• Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while in the sonographer’s care.
• Use skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.
• Follow patient protocols defined by department providers and outlined in department to provide consistent and high quality patient care.
• Provide reassurance and support to patient throughout procedure.
Requirements
Qualifications required:
Be a Graduate of an accredited/professional School, University, or Institution
Hold a Current Registered Ultrasound Licensure
Nuchal Translucency certification preferred.
Should have knowledge of JCIA or accreditation standards
DHA/HAAD/MOH License - an advantage.
4-5 years of experience in ABD/OB sonography.
Experienced in high risk OB ultrasounds.
Moderate skills in endovaginal scanning.
Minimum skills in abdominal color duplex scanning.
Ability to perform variety of invasive, non-invasive general, OB, and vascular procedures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to interact effectively with patients and physicians in pressure situations while maintaining tact and diplomacy.
Previous experience in an outpatient medical setting may be helpful.
Previous experience with computer software is helpful.
