Job description / Role
Coordinate the master planning and urban design frameworks of various districts in Lusail. Coordinate with the building permit team to ensure that the all guide lines and design policies are implemented consistently. Contribute to the various project teams to support the delivery of specific projects and task in accordance with Lusail City strategy and as directed.
Work with the master planning team and urban designers to coordinate urban design guidelines and planning regulation for Lusail project and enforcement of such regulation through the building approvals system and the building permits team.
Provide assistant in the preparation of master plan updates and recommend measures affecting land use, public utilities, community facilities, and transportation to control and guide the future development of Lusail.
Keep the urban planning unit and the building permits team informed and updated with development in areas mentioned above.
Participate and contribute to the various project teams specifically created to support the delivery of specific projects and tasks in Lusail City strategy.
Coordinate with the building permits team to provide urban design support in the assessments of application submitted through LAC. Attend meetings and liaise with developers, Architects and consultants to ensure understanding of guidelines and their relevance throughout the building permit assessment process.
Confers with local authorities and land planning and development specialists to devise and recommend arrangements of land and physical facilities for residential, commercial, industrial, and community uses in Lusail.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
BSc in Architecture or masters / diploma in planning and or urban design.
Minimum Experience: Min 5 years experience in related field
High level technical skills in the area of Urban Design with ability to use modern computer based design tools.
Planning and Organising ability
Excellent communication skills
Excellent English language
