Utilities Design Manager

Job description / Role

My clinet are a leading international contractor currently operating in Qatar. Due to a recent award of a major contract, they now require and experionced Utilities Design Manager to join the team. The project will be one of the largest highways in Qatar and will take approximately 3 years to complete

Responsibilities
- Be the contact point of the Lead Designer / Specific Designers in regards of all issues related to the utilities
- Oranize and control the collecting of data regarding existing utilities
- Insure that the Lead designer compile them all
- Control the design for the utilities diversions (permanent or temporary)
- Control the design (till the Detailed Design) of all new utilities
- Supervise and control the Lead Designer / Specific Designers in all aspects related to utilities
- Follow up of the Design Schedules
- Organize and chair meetings with all parties (potential sub-contractors, client, Independent checker, stake holders. Etc.)

Requirements

- BSc is an Asset
- Specialties: Utilities
- 10 Years experience in Design Management of utilities
- Experience in working in similar field in Doha is an asset
- Experience in working with Contractor is an asset
