Job description / Role
Undertakes investigations, designs, calculations, reports, drawings, specifications and bills of quantities for Infrastructure Utilities.
Develops designs from concept through the detailed design and then onto final Authority approvals.
Coordinates the delivery of design outputs including the necessary quality assurance checking.
Liaises with Authorities, the Client, Contractors, Consultants and other members of the wider organization.
Reviews and inspects construction activities to ensure compliance with designs, drawings and specifications.
Reviews and approves documentation as required.
Reports to the Engineering Manager on deliverables.
Produces quality outcomes to the required time frames.
Requirements
Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
At least 5 years relevant experience in UAE.
Has significant wet utilities experience including potable water, sewerage, irrigation, storm water and district cooling, pumping systems and treatment plants.
Preferably with dry utilities experience including MV and LV power systems, telecoms and street lighting.
Adept in hydraulic calculations/modeling of both pressure and gravity systems.
Has experience dealing with local Authorities, Client, Contractors, Consultants.
Preferably can communicate both in English and Arabic.
Advanced user of Microsoft office, specifically excel and word.
Previous knowledge and use of document management systems.
